KOLORKY nappies are made with the best materials from around the world to meet the highest standards. They are made from natural and renewable materials and are completely safe for little ones.
Bleached with hot air, odourless.
Babies wear nappies for the first two years of their lives, and their skin is in constant contact with the nappy fabric. For this reason, we think it is very important to know how the cellulose in nappies is bleached. KOLORKY nappies are not bleached with chlorine, but with the TCF(total chlorine free) method using oxygen, ozone or hydrogen peroxide. Chlorine leaves a small amount of harmful dioxins in the nappies, which can have a significant impact on a baby’s development and affect their immune, hormonal and nervous systems.
Environmentally friendly inks for your baby and the environment
We use water-based, environmentally friendly inks made of water, water-soluble resin and pigment to print designs on nappies. The inks do not contain any harmful substances and no harmful effects have been observed during testing.
Moisture indicator
Moisture indicator is a strip containing stearic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), an antioxidant, rosin ester and a colour indicator. The yellow strip is found in the middle of the outside of the nappy. When the strip comes into contact with the liquid, its colour changes to green, so you know it’s time to change the nappy.
NIGHT Unicorns nappies are composed of Cellulose, Non-woven Fabric, Paper, Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP), Binding Material, Elastane.
Cellulose(TCF pulp) – it has excellent absorption properties. And under the right conditions, it is completely biodegradable. It is produced either from annual plants such as flax and cotton, or from wood – in our environment, this is usually spruce. All our nappies are FSC-certified, which ensures that the wood used to make pulp and paper comes from sustainably managed forests.
Where and why is cellulose in nappies? It is placed on the entire absorbent surface to reliably wick moisture away from baby’s sensitive skin.
Non-wovenfabric – breathable and lightweight. You might think of it as a very durable textile that is created by stretching and folding natural (or synthetic) fibres. The fabric is interwoven through an absorbent system, a breathable front fabric and an elasticated nappy waistband to allow baby’s skin to breathe easily underneath.
Low Density Polyethylene(LDPE) is a non-toxic and recyclable plastic that you encounter every day. Where and why is it in nappies? LDPE is formed as a thin film on the outside of the absorbent system of the nappy to prevent fluid leakage. You’ll also find it in adhesive strips (to stick . This layer also ensures that the nappy sticks nicely and doesn’t compress. The LDPE film is on the outside of the nappy, on which we ink the original nappy design.
Superabsorbent Polymer Gel(SAP gel) is a widespread organic compound with no toxic or harmful properties. SAP gel consists of tiny crystals that absorb liquids and odours. Each crystal can hold up to 300 times its own weight in liquid. The use of SAP gel is more environmentally friendly, as without it, the consumption of nappies would be significantly higher due to the increased amount of waste generated. SAP gel is recyclable but unfortunately not biodegradable. However, we can assure you that it does not pollute the environment due to its non-toxic properties.
Where and why is it part of the nappy? SAP gel is antibacterial and absorbs liquids and odours in the absorbent system of the nappy, keeping your baby’s skin dry and protected from rashes and nappy rash.
Store in a dry place, away from aromatic products.
Do not flush down the toilet. Keep the empty container out of the reach of children as there is a risk of suffocation.
The date of manufacture and expiry date are indicated on the label.
